This page explains, in plain English, what information Boston Human Rights (bostonhumanrights.org) collects and how we use it. We try to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
Your email address, if you join Action Members
The only thing we ask for on this site is an email address, and only if you choose to join Action Members. You sign up through a form built with Contact Form 7. Each signup is emailed to us at contact@bostonhumanrights.org.
We use your email address only to reach Action Members about ways to take action. We never sell it and we never share it.
Emails you send us
If you write to us, we use your message and your email address only to reply to you.
Site statistics and server logs
Like most websites, this one may collect standard server logs and anonymous site statistics. We use these to understand how the site is being used and to keep it working. We do not use them to identify individual visitors.
Cookies
We use very few cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site should still be readable.
Google Fonts
The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which means your IP address is sent to Google. Google’s own privacy policy explains what it does with that information.
What we do not do
- We do not have user accounts.
- We do not take payments or donations, so we never collect payment details.
- We do not sell your information or share your email address.
Please do not email us sensitive information
We do not offer a secure tip line. Email is not a private channel, so please do not send sensitive information, especially anything that could put you or someone else at risk.
Unsubscribing and deleting your email
You can unsubscribe from Action Members at any time, and you can ask us to delete your email address. Just write to contact@bostonhumanrights.org and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
