Help build a human rights community in Boston, one checked source and one local connection at a time.
Work on human rights with us in Boston
We are looking for people in Boston to work on human rights: research and fact-checking, writing, translation (Persian, French, Arabic, Swahili and other languages), community organizing, and design and web. Roles are still being worked out, so tell us what you can do and how much time you have.
Boston Human Rights is a reading-and-writing project for readers in Boston and across the USA. The most useful things you can do are to read the sources we cite, share verified reporting with its date and source, connect with Boston-area organizations, and tell us what we missed or got wrong.
- Find a local role or event: see Opportunities, third-party listings that we verified on the organization’s own page and dated.
- Read and share: see Take Action.
- Tell us about a Boston-area internship, volunteer role or event, an error, or a better source: Contact.
- Offer skills such as translation or research: tell us through Contact.
- Start small where you live: read a briefing with a friend or colleague and check the linked sources together.
We do not currently run events, meetings or campaigns. If that changes, we will say so here with the details and a source.
